Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Catering Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for menu writing, costing, and the execution of catering events from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage team members and collaborate effectively with catering managers and fellow chefs to ensure exceptional service and high-quality food for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Menu Writing: Develop innovative and diverse catering menus that meet client needs and dietary restrictions.
+ Menu Costing: Accurately cost menu items to ensure profitability while maintaining high standards of quality.
+ Production: Oversee the preparation and production of food for various events, ensuring timely delivery and presentation.
+ Team Management: Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with the Catering Manager, other chefs, and managers to coordinate event details and execution.
+ Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.
+ Event Execution: Oversee the entire catering process, from planning and preparation to service and cleanup, ensuring client satisfaction at all stages.
Qualifications:
+ Proven experience as a chef in a catering or restaurant environment.
+ Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple events simultaneously.
+ Strong leadership and communication skills.
+ Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
