Job Summary and Responsibilities:

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for the development of reports and dashboards via our SSRS / Power BI / SQL Server based reporting platform and data warehouse.  The Reporting Analyst develops reports and dashboards to meet stakeholder needs.

  • Create, test, and deploy reports and dashboards to meet stakeholder needs using SQL, SSRS, Power BI and other tools as required

  • Combine data from multiple sources

  • Continuously improve and modernize information delivery for our stakeholders

  • Contribute to development of standard reporting formats and structure

  • With direction from IT leadership, work directly with key stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate technical scope to end users.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

The Reporting Analyst is part of Drury’s Data Analytics team.  This team develops, maintains and supports the various systems for providing and delivering data and completing analysis required to plan and manage the business operations of Drury Hotels.  The Data Analytics team has responsibility for data management, ETL, operational reporting, executive reporting, data analytics (data science), and supports process automation efforts based on information.  The Data Analytics team also works with key stakeholders and consumers of these reports and analysis to insure consistent and accurate interpretation of the information.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

The Reporting Analyst must have strong problem solving and analytic skills, and be able and willing to learn SSRS, PowerBI, SQL and other technical components of our reporting platform on the job. 

Ability to work effectively in project based environments, including reporting and communication of status, progress, and issues as required.

Experience and skill, or ability to quickly learn, the following technologies is preferred:

  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

  • SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

  • MS Power BI

  • Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Macros)

  • PowerPoint

Additional consideration will be given to experience with the following:

  • General technical skills including programming experience

  • MS SQL Server Database administration, management and optimization

  • Knowledge / Experience with Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • .NET Framework

  • MongoDB

  • Hotel / Hospitality Applications and Data

Working functional knowledge of Hotel operations and the hospitality industry is desirable.
