Sterile Processing Specialist

General Summary:

Performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment according to established standards and procedures to ensure sterility and functioning supply of materials and equipment. Responsible for leading daily operations in the SPD Department.

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement
3 years sterile processing experience
Certification required (surgical or sterile)
