**Job Description**
BAE Systems is seeking a IT Data Architect to support our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business.
This role falls within our Digital Enterprise Directorate and will face multiple challenging projects while supporting our developing digital environment development and deployment to our business.
Responsibilities:
+ Support configuration control and change impact analysis on the businesses data architecture model including identification of Authoritative Source Of Truth (ASOT) databases, connectors to replicate data from ASOTs to Midas and/or AWS Cloud Environments through data transformation within Power BI.
+ Serve as an IT specialist for data science and visualization team, identifying technical issues and managing all resolution activities with IT department.
+ Work with team to remain compliant with upcoming system changes and advancements.
+ Champion service tickets and requests required to meet team objectives.
+ Develop new tools to monitor metrics and increase user retention of tools.
+ Monitor and maintain data source access and controls.
+ Evaluate engineering insight needs as they apply to decision making and efficiencies between engineering and other functions to meet the evolving needs of the business.
+ Work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with all data and analytics contractual and business requirements.
+ Perform review and monitoring of dashboards, databases, and models in production to ensure their uptime and refresh rates are met.
+ Maintain and enhance the technical reputation of BAE Systems with customers and industry.
+ Communicate related findings and associated risks and opportunities to all levels of the organization.
+ Develop data models and process flows as well as liaising with multiple stakeholders - mainly engineering, to document and/or validate the current state or As-Is business process.
+ Focus on process improvement and produce artifacts at the end of a project to ensure that we are continually doing our work more efficient and effectively.
+ Handle mapping processes and identifying bottlenecks.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Data Management/Data Science with 6 years of experience or equivalent education/experience
+ Proven ability to work within teams in which your contributions are critical to success.
+ Exceptional analytic skills with some knowledge of probability and statistics and mathematical programming.
+ Proficiency with tools such as Visual Basic, MS Excel, MATLAB/Simulink, Mathcad, Midas, AWS/AWS Redshift, SSAS, Alation, Dataiku, Oracle, SQL
+ Familiarity with Atlassian Jira or ServiceNow
+ Proficiency with server usage and troubleshooting
+ Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast paced environment
+ Must be able to work independently to research, analyze, and form solutions
+ Must be able to translate data into information; resulting in data-driven actions/recommendations
+ Proficiency in areas such as probability and statistics, applied mathematics, Mathematical programming (linear, nonlinear, integer), Network analysis, Queuing theory, and Economic evaluation.
+ Must have ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
+ Ability to develop solutions to complex problems.
+ Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
+ Experience developing requirements for collection of and follow on use of data to inform the organization.
+ Working knowledge of technical concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures, and technical standards
+ Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and able to stay organized
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Master s Degree
+ Experience with structured problem solving techniques
+ Knowledge of technical requirements and systems relevant to Combat Vehicles
+ Experience working with development teams
+ Knowledge of metrics related to Agile and use of them to report back to team members at all levels
+ Scrum/Agile management experience
+ In-depth knowledge of Engineering function
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
