**About the Contract:**

Provide comprehensive data analytics and engineering services supporting USCENTCOM at HQ Tampa, Florida, covering both CONUS and OCONUS operations. The scope encompasses IT strategy, data management, analytics, engineering, and reporting. The role emphasizes working within an Agile framework to deliver data-driven insights and data infrastructure solutions that support decision-making. **Job Description:**

GDIT is seeking a Data Scientist to support data analytics and predictive analytics in support of the USCENTCOM J6 Team. This role involves working with the Data Analytic Environment (DAE) and Data Analytic Services (DAS), focusing on data management, data-centricity, data infrastructure, and analytic development to help USCENTCOM become a data-centric organization. The Data Office team will deliver, operate, and maintain the end-to-end DAE infrastructure as well as provide a data catalog consisting of discovering, cataloging, accessing, managing, and governing geographically dispersed data, sources, metadata tags, and data analysis functions. This role focuses on data analysis, reporting, and providing actionable insights using data from multiple sources. The analyst will work closely with stakeholders to ensure data integrity and effective use of analytical tools like Power BI and Qlik, operating in an Agile environment. This role involves building robust data pipelines and generating actionable insights from diverse data sources. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data integrity, optimize analytics infrastructure, and utilize tools like Power BI, Qlik, and cloud-based data/AI engineering solutions, operating within an Agile environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, Qlik, and other analytics tools.

+ Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ensure seamless data integration across systems.

+ Conduct data modeling, wrangling, and cleansing to ensure data quality and accuracy.

+ Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage sprints, work items, and project deliverables related to data analytics and engineering.

+ Apply Scrum/Agile methodologies to execute data projects efficiently, adapting to changing requirements.

+ Process and analyze big data using Statistical, Machine Learning modeling, to identify opportunities, patterns, and provide insights to the leadership teams to help in command capabilities.

+ Collaborate with the USCENTCOM J6 Executive Data Officer (XDO) and other stakeholders to align data analytics and engineering efforts with organizational objectives.

+ Extract, process, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and insights for decision-making.

+ Ensure data quality through governance practices, including cataloging, tagging, and validation.

+ Support predictive analytics and AI/ML initiatives, including model development and deployment.

+ Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure continuous collaboration and transparency across teams.

**Education:**

+ B.A./B.S. in Data Science, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

+ Alternatively, 3-5 years of experience in data science and engineering roles.

**Required Skills:**

+ **Proficiency in Power BI, Qlik, and Maven Smart Systems (MSS)** for creating dynamic data reporting and visualization, enabling clear communication of complex data insights.

+ **Strong experience in Power Platform and data engineering** , including expertise in building **ETL/ELT pipelines** and managing data integration workflows to support analytics and insights.

+ **Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms** , particularly **Azure and Power Platform** , for secure and efficient data management, processing, and storage.

+ **UI/UX design skills** for developing user-friendly, insightful, and interactive dashboards and data visualization tools that facilitate ease of use and accessibility.

+ **Proven ability to deliver data-driven insights** and support analytics for enhanced decision-making across departments.

**Desired Skills:**

+ Experience with advanced analytics techniques and Knowledge of big data tools.

+ Understanding of DoD data strategy and data architectures.

+ Familiarity with military/government data environments.

+ Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/Power Platform) are a plus.

+ UI/UX Certifications are a plus.

**Clearance Requirement:**

+ Active TS/SCI clearance required

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
