Mental Health Technician I

The **Mental Health Technician I** provides direct patient care to psychiatric patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
**Mental Health Technician I Responsibilities:**
+ Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
+ Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
+ Assists with physical care under the direction of an RN.
+ Promotes coordination of the unit by completing orders, making phone calls and directing calls and information to the charge nurse.
**Requirements:**
+ BLS (Basic Life Support)
+ High School or Equivalent
+ FL Driver's License
+ Preferred - Associate's in Healthcare/Psychology
+ Preferred - CNA/PCT
**Preferred Experience:**
+ 6 months - Psychology
