Director, Product Marketing - Identity & Network Access (IDNA)

In the role of **Director, Product Marketing,** for **Identity & Network Access (IDNA)** , you will help shape the future of secure access at Microsoft. You will partner with engineering shaping the product vision and prioritizing product investments, lead Microsoft Entra portfolio rationalization and customer-facing roadmap. You will also lead positioning and messaging for Microsoft Entra product family, and innovations in the Microsoft Entra portfolio, craft go-to-market (GTM) plans that grow preference, sales and usage of Microsoft Entra products. You will serve as spokesperson and subject matter expert with external and internal audiences.

**Responsibilities**

Culture

+ Champion Microsoft culture, foster diversity and inclusion.

+ Develop and grow the team with Microsoft manager excellence principles – model, coach, care.

+ Maintain strong relationships across Security Marketing, Engineering, Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions organization and other partner teams.

Product Strategy & Evangelism

+ Partner with IDNA Engineering on Microsoft Entra portfolio strategy, including product vision and roadmap for the respective product innovations. Champion roadmap process for the team.

+ Serve as the product expert for Microsoft Entra to customers, field sellers and partners, regularly presenting to audiences both large and small.

+ Partner with engineering to drive product improvements and represent key customer and internal priorities in the engineering development process.

Messaging & Positioning

+ Lead messaging and positioning framework for Microsoft Entra and respective product innovations. pers.

+ Build core content and assets that articulates product value through customer-centric outcomes with consistency across all mediums (e.g. web page, customer pitch deck, blog posts, FAQs, screenshots, videos).

+ Lead Microsoft Entra portfolio and innovations storytelling across marketing campaigns, launch moments, industry events, with media and industry analysts.

Customer and Market Insights

• Derive insights on customer habits and preferences from telemetry, market research and competitive analysis to inform product plans and prioritization.

**Qualifications**

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business

+ OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ 4+ years direct people management experience or indirect people management experience (or virtual teams).

+ 6+ years technology product management, product marketing, or transferrable experience in developing product vision and strategy, value propositions, marketing content.

+ 6+ years experience of leading product innovation from inception to successful in-market ramp.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business

+ OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ 6+ years people management experience.

+ Experience in identity and access management, network security or other security categories strongly preferred.

+ Deep experience creating messaging and engaging content that romances product scenarios rooted in customer outcomes.

+ Successful track record of building collaborative partnerships with technology teams.

+ Cross-group collaboration skills to work across functions and solution areas at Microsoft.

+ Executive communication, storytelling skills, and the ability to translate complex ideas into simple customer stories.

+ Commitment to leadership and deep and unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion.

+ Experience in recruiting and developing a diverse set of team members preferred.

Product Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
