We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Externals and Airframe Integration Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of engines and related systems into various aircraft applications, including business jets and regional aircrafts. **Job Description**
**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Act as GE systems engineering / airframe leader and integrator covering engine externals, nacelles and engine mount systems for the CF34 family of engines.
+ Lead product improvements among GE, suppliers and airframers, acting as a liaison and ensuring that GE meets requirements for new designs, both in Part 25 and 33 certification spaces.
+ Coordinate priorities and worklist items among supply chain, program, and design teams.
+ Lead resolution of field problems; developing containment actions for the fleet and permanent corrective action as required.
+ Support field service engineers worldwide and provide technical support at airframers for production airframe integration issues, working closely with program and supplier quality functions.
+ Remain current in the state of the art within own technical specialty for new products introduction activity, performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions
+ Serve as a recognized leader in defining the state of the art in own technical specialty in order to anticipate, develop and apply technology to current and future business opportunities
+ Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company
+ Function as program manager or Module Leader as Necessary
+ Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
+ Minimum of 3 years' experience in systems engineering (related to Engine systems)
+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
+ Ability to travel about once per quarter
**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Prior air framer experience, system integration, and certification.
